24 Jun 2007 — David Fisher controlled the lead most of all, leading 40 of 60 laps on a run to first place in the Grand Prix of Silverstone in Round 3 of the Formula 1 series.
Fisher spent the majority of 32 laps total pursuing Aubrey Windle after initially targeting him on the first lap. Fisher cleared Windle and into first place on lap 21, and kept it the remaining 39 laps to the checkered flag.
Fisher is sixth in the standings for the series. He has one start and led 40 of his 60 laps raced while taking the victory once.
Tim McArthur made a final pass on the last lap for a fourth-place finish.
McArthur traded positions back and forth with Jerry Chen in a prolonged fight for fourth from the early stages, battling over a stretch of 27 laps. McArthur ran the majority leading Chen after challenging and passing him on lap 7. After losing the spot on lap 54, McArthur got around Chen for the second time and into fourth place when Chen retired on the final lap.
McArthur remains in the lead of the standings, increasing the lead over rival Allen Cotton to four points. McArthur has three starts and led six of his 179 laps while finishing as high as second.
In the 10 career runs taken by McArthur in the Formula 1 '05, he has led 66 laps in all and taken the victory once. McArthur has taken the car to Northamptonshire GP two times.
Brandon Warren captured second place.
Formula 1 series moves on to Round 4 in two weeks at Jiading. The series has 29 drivers competing for points in the championship.
Starting from back in the field, Brian Fairley picked off 13 positions to finish in sixth place.
Warren traded positions back and forth with Aubrey Windle in a long and tense fight for second starting midway through, running within a car length of each other over a span of 31 laps. Warren ran nearly equal parts leading Windle after being caught by him on lap 23. After losing the spot on lap 53, Warren got around Windle for the third time and into second place when Windle retired on lap 55, and controlled it the final few laps to the checkered flag.
Warren moves up to eighth in the standings, two points behind Kirill Izotov. Warren has two starts and finished as high as second.
Fairley drove all of five laps total pursuing Tim McArthur after initially engaging him on the first lap, coming from as many as 14 places back. In the end Fairley settled into sixth the few laps running to the conclusion.
Fairley is 14th in the standings for the series. He has one start and finished as high as sixth.
Allen Cotton captured third place.
Aubrey Windle held the lead for 20 laps in a run to ninth place.
