WTC: Anderstorp #1

Same problem for me as happened in Brands. Server Loaded up race, Cars kept appearing from no-where, punted Jack, decided to Park it.

I'm so so sorry Jack.

This was my first STCC race, and my first wet (flooded) race. Apparently the best way not to have a Lap 1 pile up is for it to rain (go figure).

I was nervous about qualifying because I had practice in the wet but not flooded and I had no idea what the pace would be. As it was I did pretty well. James, sorry about the punt in qualy. I think I actually tapped you three times and you still didn't go off.

I decided to just play it safe and stay on the track. This seemed to work as I worked from 9th to 5th as a lot of people decided to do the old slip n slide.

I managed to work a nice opening at fifth with the fast guys too far away to catch and guys behind too far behind to catch me.

Congrats to the podium.

I disike wet races due to the frustration, for me, of just keeping the car on track. However, I did enjoy both races. This was due to the considerate driving all of the drivers I encountered, especially Carlos who, despite being stuck behind me, showed admirable patience, before eventually getting past. Happy to have finished both races in one piece.

Race 1

The qualy wasn't the best I could do and I couldn't get any more speed out of the car due to a lot of wheelspin but I did manage to take 8th place which has been a long time ago.

The race started of with loads and loads of wheelspin and I could barely hang on to 8th place. I was behind Michael Herring for a few laps and tried to pass him a few times and when I tried it going into turn 3 he closed the gap and I had to slam the brakes not to touch.

When I was in 6th place I hoped to keep the position but the front of the car wasn't good and I started to understeer of a few times which let to the fact that I was overtaken by James Goldsbrough when I went wide for a 3rd time. I came back on the racing line and was very close to him only to notice he was braking even earlier then me and I punted him off, and went off myself too.

I served the penalty and saw there were only 2 laps left and I was in 14th, somehow I managed to get back to 1 place in the end.
