Thomas runs most laps in top spot of class for win

26 Dec 2016 — Fodor Tamas raced at the front of the Gr5 field most of all drivers, leading 12 of 13 laps on a run to first place in the Sebring Int'l - 12hr Multiclass.

Fahn Thomas raced at the front of the Gr4 field most of all drivers, leading 10 of 13 laps on a run to first place.

Tamas traded positions with Tony Carl Christensen in a lengthy and unrelenting battle for the race lead starting midway through, running within a car length of each other over a span of 13 laps. Tamas drove nearly all leading Carl Christensen after being caught by him on the first lap. After losing the spot on lap 4, Tamas passed Carl Christensen and into first place on lap 5, and defended it against pressure by Carl Christensen the remaining nine laps to the conclusion.

Thomas wrestled the advantage back and forth with Ken Jagger in a lengthy and unrelenting battle for the race lead starting early on, running within a scrape of each other over a span of 11 laps and changing positions three times. Thomas ran the majority leading Jagger after catching and passing him on the second lap. After losing the spot on lap 3, Thomas got around Jagger for the second time and into first place on lap 5, and held it the remaining eight laps to the checkered flag.

Making his 10th start at Sebring Int'l - 12hr, Tony Carl Christensen drove to a second-place finish in the Gr5 class.

Carl Christensen swapped leads with Fodor Tamas in a long and tense battle for the race lead starting midway through, running within an apex of each other over a stretch of 13 laps. Driving the Fiat X1/9 Dallara, Carl Christensen ran the majority pursuing Tamas after catching him on the first lap. Carl Christensen launched an extended challenge at Tamas midway through, staying within a car length behind him and keeping pace over a continuous run of nine laps. In the end Carl Christensen settled into second the nine laps running to the conclusion.

Starting from back in the field, Alejo Perales picked off six positions to finish in fourth place in the Gr5 class.

Perales drove the majority of three laps total leading Alan Chapman after engaging and passing him on the second lap, coming from as many as five positions back. Perales passed Chapman and into fourth place on lap 2, and controlled it the remaining 11 laps to the checkered flag.

Ken Jagger led the Gr4 field for three laps in a run to third place.

Driving the Lotus Europa, Jagger drove the majority of 11 laps total leading Josh Crane after being engaged by him on the first lap. Ultimately Jagger settled into third the couple laps running to the conclusion.

Josh Crane won second place in the Gr4 class.

Tommaso Pinter won fifth place in the Gr5 class.

Driving the Lotus Europa, Crane ran the majority of 11 laps total pursuing Ken Jagger after engaging him on the first lap. Crane got around Jagger and into second place on lap 12, and kept it the remaining lap to the finish.

Ricardo Gomes captured third place in the Gr5 class.

Pinter drove the majority of five laps total pursuing Alan Chapman after targeting him on the third lap, coming from as many as six positions back. Pinter got around Chapman and into fifth place on lap 7, and controlled it the remaining half-dozen laps to the conclusion.
