23 Dec 2016 — Manuel Alves started on the pole and led every lap on the way to a commanding victory in the Palm Beach TCR in Round 5 of the TCR International Series.
Alves ran all of 22 laps total leading Colin Barker after being engaged by him on the first lap. Alves controlled the race lead every lap from start to victory.
Alves remains in the lead of the standings, increasing the lead over rival Colin Barker to 10 points. Alves has four starts and led 62 of his 107 laps while taking the win three times.
TCR International Series moves on to its sixth and final round in a week at a circuit to be announced. The series has 21 drivers competing for points in the championship.
Manuel Alves leads the championship in a tight campaign over Colin Barker, separated by just a handful of grid positions. The title continues to be challenged by Juan Puyo and Rob Milliken as well. The Top 5 places are an open ring for 21 drivers in the running with one race remaining.

Barker spent nearly all of seven laps total leading Nuno Cabral after being caught by him on the first lap. Barker controlled second position every lap from the green flag to the finish.
Barker moves up to second in the standings, 10 points behind Manuel Alves. Barker has four starts and led one of his 96 laps while taking the win once.
Nuno Cabral took third place.
