Indianapolis 500 on May 24, 2008

Congrats Jon Weal! What a stunning finish!

Sat for 2.5hrs yesterday and watched it all, now sitting here watching the real thing today, on like the 5th caution at halfway.

120 laps of green flag racing. You guys beat the real thing by miles, really hit it out of the park. I was hoping for a yellow just to get everyone (us spectators included) a break.

By my count 9 cars wrecked out, 5 mechanical (engine) failures (apparently from maxing the rev limiter and minimizing the ducts, not a good 500 mile strategy) and 4 disconnects (2 voluntary). Discounting the disconnects, looks to be on track for the real thing!

And Tim the live steward made sure that rFactor's oval racing glitches didn't bite a single person.

It made the effort worthwhile. Good job all!
