Download here: OWC08_v1.exe One of our own (Tommy Christian) has been working hard on updating the physics of default rFactor cars. A few months back he re-worked the Formula IS cars to resemble an IRL type car for our Indianapolis 500 race. He has expanded his work to the remaining open wheel cars found in rFactor with great success. This will not overwrite anything or damage your current rFactor install! Comes with new rFm called OWChallenge08. This is similar to the stock OWChallenge2006 but with improvements. All cars point to stock 3D models and sounds included in rFactor 1255. Will NOT work with rFactor Lite without the add-on pack of stock graphics & sounds. Included in OWC2008:

Wow, this is an epic release. Is this exclusive to R2P? Is this something we'll need for all future trainer/fis/etc events?
We do expect the new FIS08 cars to eventually replace the ones currently in use. Before making that change however, we want everyone the opportunity to test the new cars for a few weeks.
We are NOT changing to these new cars just yet, but it will happen in the near future.
That's great. I particularly like the idea of a whole series of custom cars so that it doesn't interfere with the already installed ones.
With regards to the wording "from my experience in formula atlantics" is that written from Tommy's perspective or your own?
Either way, thanks to Tommy for the hard work. Can't wait to try out the new trainers as they are also one of my favorite cars to drive.
Any room in your schedule to get a fun-run or 3 going Tim?
The rF3 certainly is an improvement.
It sorta sounds like a tuned Civic now.
Great Job TC, thanks alot! I only have experience in the advanced trainer and it certainly feels more like a car and not a sled.
Thanks for immortalizing myself and many other R2P'ers as official drivers!
Tim is there a particular track you have in mind for the change to the FIS MkII car? If so we could start our testing and setup at that track. Say Loudon (3 weeks) or Chicago (5 weeks).
Wow, with this update i might actually consider jumping into races with the trainers and formula 3's again, Thanks alot!
