RACE2PLAY CELEBRATES THIRD ANNIVERSARY
Following an invitation-only beta period that included a few hundred drivers in late 2006, Race2Play opened its doors to the public three years ago on Jan. 15, 2007, launching a new era in multiplayer online racing. More than 4,400 events, 2 million laps and 4.6 million miles later, a worldwide community of some 16,000 drivers from 80+ countries is carrying Race2Play into its fourth year and onward.
With more than 850 cars and tracks for racing and 100+ series per season at Race2Play, no other organization presents the scope of choice and quality of competition. Race2Play is the No. 1 and first-ever such online organization to achieve the sanctioning recognition of an actual racing body, the National Auto Sport Association.

The new sponsorship packages for the upcoming Season 15 have been announced and are now available.

Race2Play currently uses TeamSpeak v2 as its software of choice for all voice communications. This will continue through this month, but as of Feb 2010 we will make the switch to TeamSpeak v3.
Download TeamSpeak v3 by visiting the TeamSpeak Download page and install as directed.
Connection info is listed on the Teamspeak page and will not change. There currently is a TeamSpeak v3 server in operation so feel free to make the switch today.

Highlighted changes:
+ Gradual steps of rank required to participate in the upper echelon series
+ The field sizes will increase along with rank restrictions;(0 = 24 max, 2+ = 28 max or more)
+ Some events are listed as "Suggest a Track". The previous week's winner will be allowed to suggest the track for these events.
+ GT3 & GT4 series will be changed to Sports Car events

Season 13 begins the first weekend of July and runs to the end of September. More than 500 online racing events scheduled in a 15-week span of time. Put on your driving gloves, or risk blisters!
Qualifying for the 2009 Championships of Online Racing
The top drivers in each series standings at the completion of each season are invited to compete in the 2009 World Championships of Online Racing. This includes weekday series as well as the weekend series. Independent Chapter series are not included.

Grab a cupful of your favorite sim racer's fuel and start your engines for the Jax Motorsports Series Coffee Amped2Race 2.4 Hour at Lienz on Sept. 5 at Race2Play.
This special event will feature more than 40 drivers from around the world racing the newly released Endurance Series mod for rFactor for 144 minutes through the alpine village and twisty mountain passes that make up the circuit at Lienz.
The race will be broadcast live on R2P-TV.
Event sponsor Jax Coffee House has made a special run of Race2Play Amped2Race Blend for the event, and personal label Trophy Bags of coffee will be awarded as prizes on the night. [... more]
